About Marshall Pro Rodeo Association, Inc.

 

Marshall Pro Rodeo Association, Inc. was formed in the fall of 2002 to oversee the Marshall Pro Rodeo.  Marshall Pro Rodeo Association, Inc. has 12 directors and an unlimited number of committee members all interested in bringing a first class pro rodeo to the Harrison County area.  As one of the primary interest of the Marshall Pro Rodeo Association, Inc. we have established a scholarship program for Harrison County youth.  We welcome anyone interested in joining the committee and helping support the youth of Harrison County.

 

About The Scholarship

 

Through the scholarship, Marshall Pro Rodeo Association, Inc.  provides financial assistance to students from the Harrison County area.  Marshall Pro Rodeo Association, Inc. will award at least three scholarships annually.  Starting in 2004 at least one scholarship will be awarded to a member of the Marshall Pro Rodeo Junior Committee.  Recipients will be notified in May of each year.  The scholarship will be paid directly to the college or university the student is attending.   Scholarship will be paid in two payments totaling ½ of the amount awarded each semester.   Recipients must:

  • 1st payment
    •  Show enrollment (minimum of 12 hours) in college the fall semester of the year the scholarship is awarded
  • 2nd payment
    • Provide an official transcript at the end of each semester
    • Show enrollment (minimum of 12 hours) in college the next semester
    • Maintain a 2.0 GPA on a 4.0 scale
    • Maintain a full time (12 hrs) status

 

All decisions of the Marshall Pro Rodeo Association, Inc Scholarship Committee shall be final.

Eligibility

 

To be eligible for the scholarship, the student must:

·        Be a graduating senior High School student in Harrison County

·        Complete a Marshall Pro Rodeo Association, Inc. Scholarship application

·        Enroll and attend college-fall semester of the year the scholarship is awarded

·        Be available for an interview (notification will be mailed)
